The Virginia School Board Association recognizes February 2024 as School Board Appreciation Month. The theme for the month is — The Heart of Education: Our School Board — acknowledges that the school board is at the heart of the education system, guiding it with kindness and care. Showcase their commitment to nurturing a compassionate learning environment.
The month-long observance is an opportunity for your school division and community to build a stronger understanding of the crucial role school boards assume in a constitutional republic. School boards voluntarily tackle the enormous job of governing multi-million-dollar public school divisions, while preserving the core of our democratic values.
We are thankful for your commitment to the students, staff, and families of Charlottesville City School.
