Background and Summary:
|
|
Dr. Royal Gurley, Division Superintendent, and Ms. Kim Powell, Chief Operations Officer, will present the 2022-2023 Operating Budget summary proposal for Board approval. The School Board is asked to adopt this total budget of one hundred six million, nine-hundred sixteen thousand, two-hundred thirty-one dollars ($106,916,231) for fiscal year 2023. This includes a total City appropriation of sixty-two million, nine-hundred twenty-five thousand, nine-hundred and sixty-four dollars ($62,925,964) which represents an increase of $4,216,341 over the current fiscal year 2022 City appropriation. The budget includes one-time CARES/ARPA (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act and American Rescue Plan Act) funding in the amount of two-million, one-hundred thirteen thousand, one-hundred seventy-four dollars ($2,113,174). |
