Background and Summary:
|
Dr. Rosa Atkins, Division Superintendent, and Ms. Kim Powell, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, will present the 2021-2022 Operating Budget summary proposal for Board approval. The School Board is asked to adopt this total budget of ninety-four million, two-hundred fifty thousand, three-hundred twenty-eight dollars ($94,250,328) for fiscal year 2022. This includes a total City appropriation of fifty-eight million, seven-hundred nine thousand, six-hundred and twenty-three dollars ($58,709,623) which represents level funding, zero increase or decrease over the current fiscal year 2021 City appropriation. The budget includes one-time CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) funding in the amount of five-million, three-hundred twenty-four thousand, four-hundred fifty-nine dollars ($5,324,459).
