Background and Summary:

On November 2, 2023, Dr. Katina Otey and Dr. T. Denise Johnson presented a revised version of Policy FFA (Naming of Facilities and Grounds) for Board consideration. This policy outlines the process for naming new or existing facilities and grounds within the school division.
The Board approved the revised policy on December 7, 2023, incorporating specific language to guide future naming decisions.
However, a discrepancy arose during the presentation of Annual 2024-2025 Policy Updates on May 30, 2024. The policy packet included a version of Policy FFA that omitted the specific language added in December 2023. This oversight resulted in the approval of an incomplete policy on August 1, 2024.
The Superintendent is requesting that the Board approve the Policy as presented which reflects the work previously requested and approved by the Board on December 7, 2023.
