Dr. Katina Otey, Chief Academic Officer, introduced Dr. Justin Malone, CHS Principal; Rodney Jordan, Buford Principal; Summerlyn Thompson, Walker Principal; Lamont Trotter, Program Administrator for Lugo-McGinness Academy; and Dr. Stacey Heltz, Principal of CATEC and CTE Coordinator, who presented the 2025-2026 Program of Studies for Board information. The Board approved the 2025-2026 Program of Studies at the January 9, 2025 meeting. The Board is now being asked to approve the 2025-2026 Program of Studies. |

Strategic Plan: |
Priority 1: Increase Academic Achievement All CCS learners will have access to rigorous, inclusive, and relevant learning experiences. Target 2: 100% of graduating students will be equipped with a post-secondary plan. Target 4: Percentage of students in AP and/ or Dual Enrollment course enrollment and completion rate will match racial demographic enrollment percentages. Target 7: Annually increase students’ access to rigor, including critical and creative thinking, as well as offering relevant professional supports for staff Target 8: 85% or more of graduating seniors will successfully meet College, Career and Civic Readiness Index (CCCRI) standards. Strategy 4: Use unleveled courses to create scaffolded rigor and peer to peer relationships that will result in well-prepared, diverse Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement classes. Strategy 6: Complete thorough practices across the division, and develop a division policy on equitable K-12 grading and assessment practices. |
