Background and Summary:
|
Renee Hoover, Director of Finance, will provide an update on the Governor’s Proposed Amendments to the 2024-2026 Biennium Budget, presented on December 18, 2024, and their impact on Charlottesville City Schools. This update will occur when the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) releases the Calc Tool to support the 2025-2026 budget development process.
The amendments to the second year of the state’s biennium budget include technical updates for:
* Average Daily Membership projections based on actual fall membership;
* Lottery-funded programs;
* Sales tax distribution for school age population; and
* Update English language learner data.
