Dr. Katina Otey, Chief Academic Officer; Jason Bennett, CHS Assistant Principal; Rodney Jordan, Buford Principal; Summerlyn Thompson, Walker Principal; Lamont Trotter, Program Administrator for Lugo-McGinness Academy; and Dr. Stacey Heltz, Director of CATEC, presented the 2024-2025 Program of Studies for Board information on December 7, 2023. The item is now being presented for approval.

Priority 1: Increase Academic Achievement
- All CCS learners will have access to rigorous, inclusive, and relevant learning experiences.
- Target 2: 100% of graduating students will be equipped with a post-secondary plan.
- Target 4: Percentage of students in AP and/ or Dual Enrollment course enrollment and completion rate will match racial demographic enrollment percentages.
- Target 7: Annually increase students’ access to rigor, including critical and creative thinking, as well as offering relevant professional supports for staff
- Target 8: 85% or more of graduating seniors will successfully meet College, Career and Civic Readiness Index (CCCRI) standards.
- Strategy 4: Use unleveled courses to create scaffolded rigor and peer to peer relationships that will result in well-prepared, diverse Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement classes.
- Strategy 6: Complete thorough practices across the division, and develop a division policy on equitable K-12 grading and assessment practices.
